Rant: That $40 humidifier I bought off Amazon ruined my wood floor in 3 months

I figured a cheap humidifier would do the job but it leaked water overnight and now I have a warped spot near my desk. Anybody else have a small purchase turn into a big headache?

A cheap plastic reservoir probably cracked from the pressure.

I saw a thread on another forum where a guy had the same issue with his machine. Turns out it was a known problem with that specific batch of injection molded parts. Someone linked a service bulletin from the manufacturer about it.
