That perfect Tuesday morning that turned into a parking lot nightmare
So I had this one day last month where everything was going way too smooth. Woke up before my alarm, coffee was exactly right, hit every green light on the way to work. I was thinking 'man today is gonna be great' and then I pulled into the parking lot at 8:15 AM and some guy in a lifted Ford F350 had parked diagonally across two spaces right next to the entrance. Like he just pulled in and left his truck at a 45 degree angle blocking the whole lane. I had to circle the lot for 12 minutes before I found a spot in the back corner near the dumpsters. Then I walk inside and my coworker goes "you look frustrated, rough morning?" and I just pointed at the window. Has anyone else had one of those days where the universe sets you up just to knock you down at the last second?

Oh man, I feel this one in my bones. I had almost the exact same thing happen to me a few months back, smooth morning and then bam, someone in a giant truck just abandoned it across two spots. What finally worked for me was I just started parking in the furthest corner of the lot on purpose from the get go, like day one. I know it sounds dumb but it actually saved my mornings because I stopped getting my hopes up about a close spot at all. Your mileage may vary but it's worth a try, at least you'll get some steps in before dealing with the lunatics up front.

Honestly @jenny_hall that's exactly what I started doing too! I park so far away now that I practically need a map to find my car at the end of the day. But it's so worth it because I don't have to circle the lot like a vulture looking for a spot. Plus I've noticed way fewer door dings out there in the back forty.
