Picked a plastic crock over glass for my first sauerkraut batch
I had to choose between a 5-liter Harsch crock and a big mason jar setup for fermenting cabbage, and I went with the plastic because I was scared of breakage. Three weeks in, the kraut came out great but I noticed a faint plastic smell that made me question my choice. Has anyone else dealt with weird odors from plastic fermenters, or am I just being paranoid?
