Just dropped $450 on a new respirator system and it's already paid for itself
Our shop got a big job casting a new bronze alloy that kicks up a ton of fine silica dust. My old half-mask wasn't cutting it, so I bit the bullet on a powered air purifying respirator. First day using it, I could actually breathe easy and didn't come home with that gritty feeling in my throat. Anyone else made a big gear switch lately that turned out way better than you thought?

Smart investment" feels a bit generous for something you have to force yourself to do.

Getting a gym membership was the best thing I did last year (even though I hated it at first). I started with just two days a week, focusing on basic strength stuff. Sticking to that slow schedule kept me from burning out, and now I actually look forward to going.
