Our old core shooter's hydraulic line blew a seal at 3 AM during a big pour yesterday.

We jury-rigged a fix with a spare clamp and some high-temp tape to finish the run, but what's your go-to emergency patch for a blown hydraulic line on the floor?

Honestly, we keep a few of those push-fit hydraulic repair couplings on hand for exactly that. They're not a forever fix, but you can usually get one on without even cutting the line. Slip it over the split, clamp it down, and it'll hold enough pressure to get you through a shift. Saved us more than once when a hose gave out and the replacement was a day away.

Those things are total lifesavers when a line blows on a Friday afternoon.

Slip it over the split is the part that worries me. Every time I've tried that on a pressurized line, it just blows the seal out before you can get the clamp tight. You have to cut the line clean and deburr it, or the o-ring gets nicked. Then it leaks immediately. I only use them on a dead system after a proper cut.
