Showerthought: I finally figured out how to keep my parting line brushes from melting after a shift in the Kansas heat.

Last week I started storing them in an old coffee can filled with water between uses, and they've lasted three times longer than before, so has anyone else found a better trick for this?

Storing them in water is such a smart fix for that Kansas heat. I used to keep mine in a zip-top bag with a wet paper towel, which worked okay but your coffee can idea seems way better. What kind of brushes are you using?

Lol the coffee can is just my fancy version of "too broke for real brush holders." They're just cheap synthetic ones from the craft store, but hey, they get the paint on the wall. That wet paper towel bag trick is a solid classic though.

Thought that was nuts but it actually works?
