Vent: I read that some old furniture finishes had actual arsenic in them
I was looking up some history on Victorian pieces and found a museum article saying they used 'Scheele's Green' paint, which was copper arsenite. I mean, I knew some old stuff was toxic, but that's wild to think about sanding down. Has anyone else run into something like that and how do you handle it safely?

My buddy had a scare with some old wallpaper that tested positive for arsenic.

Old wallpaper with arsenic sounds like a stretch, miles_young59.

Yeah, "sounds like a stretch" was my exact thought too. Then I read about how common arsenic green dye was in the 1800s. They put it in everything, even kids' toys. It makes those old stories about people getting sick in certain rooms seem way more possible.
