Saw the weirdest thing at a fancy hotel bar in Scottsdale
I was there for a friend's wedding last weekend and we all went to the hotel bar after. The whole place is done up with this 'rustic modern' look, right? I'm sitting there and I can't stop staring at the bar top. It's this huge, beautiful slab of wood, but the finish is just... wrong. It's got that thick, plastic-y epoxy pour over it, the kind that looks like it's floating on top, you know? But here's the kicker. In the middle of the bar, right under where the taps are, there's a big air bubble trapped in the epoxy. And I mean big, like a golf ball. It's been polished over so it's shiny, but you can see right into this little void. All I could think was, 'Someone signed off on this.' How does that even happen on a high-end build? I was dying to ask the bartender about it but figured that would be weird. Has anyone ever seen a finish flaw that just got left in a public place like that?
