My car keys vanished from my kitchen table for a full 48 hours... then were right where I left them.

I put them down next to the fruit bowl after work on Tuesday, I swear. I turned the whole house upside down, checked my coat pockets ten times, even looked in the fridge. I had to get a ride to school for two days. This morning, they were just... there on the table, in plain sight. My husband says I just missed them, but I know I didn't. Has anyone else had something disappear and reappear like the universe just hit undo?

My old apartment had a spot like that by the toaster. I started putting a bright blue dish towel under my keys every single time. The color contrast made them impossible to miss, and it trained my brain to only look there first. It cut down on my panic searches by like 90 percent.

My buddy lost his wedding ring for a week, found it in the middle of his driveway. No way it was there the whole time, he drives in and out every day.

Ask your buddy if he checked the car's cup holders or door pockets. @the_christopher, that ring had to get from his finger to the driveway somehow. Maybe it slipped off when he was grabbing something from the car and fell into a weird spot. It could have bounced around the interior for days before finally falling out when he opened the door. I've had stuff disappear in my car only to show up weeks later in plain sight.
